Hard Tile Setter covers tabletops or other surfaces with mosaic tile squares to form decorative design. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Hard Tile Setter may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Hard Tile Setter relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Great Plains Tile and Stone is a commercial ceramic tile installation company. We are looking for tile setters who are experienced in the profession and want to grow with us in the tile industry. You would be working on commercial job sites with other tile setters. Most work is in the Kansas City and surrounding area. Must have transportation to job site. Work hours are typically 7 AM - 3:30 P.M. M-F. Overtime work is required at times. Pay is based on experience, quality, and speed. Resume can be emailed. Positions are available now.

Responsibilities and Duties
Proficient in tile work, layout, setting and grouting processes, has problem solving skills, can do prep work, floating floors with sand and cement. Know proper waterproofing methods with different types of materials. Must have own hand tools (trowels, grinder, breaker board, tape measure, chalk line, mixing drill, buckets, levels, straight edge, PPE equipment, ect…)
