Hard Tile Setter jobs in Melbourne, FL

Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled and calculate the amount of materials needed
- Prepare surfaces by removing old tiles, grout, or adhesive
- Mix and apply mortar or other adhesives to secure tiles in place
- Cut, shape, and install tiles using hand tools or power tools
- Align and straighten tiles using levels, squares, or other measuring devices
- Apply grout between tiles and remove excess grout
- Install tile trim and edging as needed
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in tile setting
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines on job sites

Qualifications:

- Ability to take instruction and anticipate tasks
- Proven experience as a Tile Setter for pools and spas
- Knowledge of different types of tiles, adhesives, and grouts
- Familiarity with tile installation techniques and industry standards
- Ability to read and interpret schematics or blueprints for tile layout
- Proficient in using power tools such as tile cutters, wet saws, and grinders
- Strong attention to detail and precision in tile placement
- Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina for prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy materials
