Hard Tile Setter covers tabletops or other surfaces with mosaic tile squares to form decorative design. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Hard Tile Setter may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Hard Tile Setter relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Grazzini Brothers & Company is a 100 year old Construction Specialty Contractor working nationwide, specializing in commercial/industrial Ceramic Tile, Terrazzo, Granite, Marble, Carpet and Soft Flooring installation coast to coast.
We are looking for experienced Tile Setters/Helpers for projects throughout Iowa/MN.
Must have previous tile experience and your own tools.

Duties
- Measure and cut tiles to fit around obstacles and into odd spaces
- Prepare surfaces for tiling by removing old tiles, grout, and adhesive
- Mix and apply mortar or other adhesives to secure tiles in place
- Align and straighten tiles using levels, squares, and straightedges
- Apply grout between tiles and remove excess grout using sponges or other tools
- Install tile edging and trim to create a finished look
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in tile installation
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tile Setter or similar role
- Knowledge of different tile materials, patterns, and installation techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical specifications
- Strong attention to detail and precision in tile placement
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, kneel, and lift heavy materials for extended periods of time
