    Responsibilities

    • Provides instruction in library skills
    • Provides individual assistance to students doing research work
    • Selects materials for the library with input from teachers
    • Possesses and catalogs materials (print and non-print) for circulation
    • Maintains card catalog
    • Keeps students and teachers informed concerning the arrival of new materials
    • Develops a library use schedule with the approval of the principal
    • Does minor book repairs and sends books in need of major repairs to bindery
    • Coordinates the maintenance of audio-visual equipment within the budgetary limit
    • Coordinates the use of audio-visual equipment
    • Inventories library materials periodically (yearly if necessary)
    • Acts as a resource in the development of bibliographies
    • Encourages positive life time reading habits in students
    • Maintains the library as a center of learning activities in the school
    • Participates in staff development
    • Prepares reports as required
    • IPerforms all other duties as assigned by the principal

    Schedule

    • Monday - Thursdays from 7:15AM-4:00PM
    • Fridays from 7:15-end of dismissal (around 3:10PM)
    • After school events as scheduled

    Pay: $47,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
