Head Coach (Major Sport) oversees all activities of a major athletic team. Plans and directs training of student athletes, and assesses individuals' abilities and skill level to determine appropriate team position. Being a Head Coach (Major Sport) analyzing opposition team performance and capabilities and determines game strategy. Assists players in reaching highest athletic potential possible through athletic training and leadership skills. Additionally, Head Coach (Major Sport) must be familiar with NCAA rules and regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree in the related area. Typically reports to a institutional officer. BASIC FUNCTION
To serve as the Head Volleyball coach. The head coach will be in charge of all aspects of the Women’s Volleyball program, including recruitment of quality student athletes, retention, fundraising, conditioning programs, organizing and planning practices and game strategies, and assisting in scheduling contests and coordinating travel.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
The Athletic Director provides general supervision. Additional duties maybe required at the discretion of the Director of Athletics, and the NVU Lyndon Administration.
