Purpose of Role

The Club Sport Head Coach - Men's Club Basketball is responsible for offering all active club members safe and proper instruction in the sport of basketball.

About This Opportunity

Joining our Athletics team, the Club Sport Head Coach will be responsible for the following:

• Plan and conduct regular practices, events, and training sessions to improve the skills and abilities of each individual in the men's club basketball program.
• Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment for all team members.
• Ensure all proper safety processes and procedures are implemented and maintained.
• Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations of the National Club Basketball Association.
• Maintain strong communication with DRW and Club President regarding all issues related to the club program.
• Represent Daemen University and the Men's Basketball Club Program in a professional manner at all times.
• $500 Per Semester

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and experience in the sport of basketball
• Minimum three years coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and coaching skills
• Ability to effectively communicate and foster positive relationships with students
• Current certification in CPR and first aid
• Commitment to gender equity, diversity and inclusion and the mission of Daemen University
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Standard background check and driving record review required
