Head Coach (Minor Sport) oversees all activities of a minor athletic team. Plans and directs training of student athletes, and assesses individuals' abilities and skill level to determine appropriate team position. Being a Head Coach (Minor Sport) analyzes opposition team performance and capabilities and determines game strategy. Assists players in reaching highest athletic potential possible through athletic training and leadership skills. Additionally, Head Coach (Minor Sport) must be familiar with NCAA rules and regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree in the related area. Typically reports to a institutional officer. Head Coach (Minor Sport) is a specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group.     KidStrong (Insert center location here) is rapidly growing and we're looking for talented, enthusiastic professionals who are passionate, energetic, and excited to engage with parents and kids and make an impact on their lives. 
     
     
    OPEN ROLE & SCHEDULE
    • We are looking for coaches with an athletic or coaching background who ideally have experience coaching kids ages 15 months - to 11 years old
    • KidStrong Head Coach would focus on coaching children on the brain, physical, and character development that stems from evolving monthly curriculum
    • The ideal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding “the why” behind the KidStrong curriculum 
    • Set schedules for the coaching staff
    • Assess and evaluate the center's coaches' performances and execution
    • Our classes run weekdays 9 am -11 am and evenings until 7 pm. 
    • On weekends we start at 8 AM and run through lunchtime. 
    • Opportunity for a flexible work schedule depending on studio needs. 
    • Additional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private class coaching hours.
    • Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not required!
     
    JOB QUALIFICATIONS
    • Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
    • Previous experience in management is preferred but not required
    • Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age group is preferred
    • Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on the KidStrong curriculum 
    • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
    • CPR certified
    • Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
    • Self-starter who just gets a job done
