Head Golf Professional is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and services of the golf course, including the golf shop, tournaments, practice facilities, and cart fleet. Ensures golf facilities are properly maintained. Being a Head Golf Professional coordinates marketing programs to promote the facility's services to potential customers and oversees member events and daily play. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Head Golf Professional requires an active Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) membership. Typically reports to a golf course general manager. The Head Golf Professional manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Golf Professional typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Cart Staff
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure carts and range balls are available for players in staging area during club operating hours.
· Pick driving range by machine or by hand as needed.
· Clean range balls and return to container.
· Clean and detail golf carts, refill with miscellaneous items such as sand bottles, score cards, etc.
· Sweep cart barn as needed, make sure first aid kit and eyewash station have clear walking access, clean trash form inside and around cart barn.
· As time allows hand wash golf carts to remove extra dust and water spots.
Assist in the set up and clean up of large events as needed ranging from banquets to golf tournaments. Assist all other staff when instructed.
Maintain a clean working environment.
Assist in maintaining a clean and pleasant entrance to the golf course and staging areas, ensuring trash is picked up and all debris is clear.
Assist in basic maintenance of golf carts and repair work.
Opening Shift:
· Make sure pro shop has adequate golf carts in staging area.
· Make sure there are plenty of range balls for members.
· Check with supervisor for additional tasks that need attention prior to leaving.
Closing Shift:
· Make sure all carts are accounted for inside and that the keys have been removed and stored by timeclock.
· Drain and rinse the ball washer.
· Close and secure cart barn and locker room doors.
· Arm security system.
