Head Golf Professional is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and services of the golf course, including the golf shop, tournaments, practice facilities, and cart fleet. Ensures golf facilities are properly maintained. Being a Head Golf Professional coordinates marketing programs to promote the facility's services to potential customers and oversees member events and daily play. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Head Golf Professional requires an active Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) membership. Typically reports to a golf course general manager. The Head Golf Professional manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Golf Professional typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job description
Responsible for providing excellent customer service and representing golf course in a professional manner. Cleaning golf carts, parking and recharging carts, picking up the driving range, cleaning cart shed, cleaning inside of clubhouse, trash removal.
Responsible for daily operations of range ball recovery utilizing both mechanical and hand machinery and equipment. Responsible for washing the range balls to maintain their cleanliness and usability and to bag them once cleaned. Secure cart shed at end of shift and set alarm. Ability to assist ground crew with maintenance of the course.
Must be flexible in meeting the varying scheduling needs of the Club and may be required to work additional (or fewer) hours than scheduled, if necessary. Candidates must be willing to work afternoons into evening shifts and weekend shifts regularly.
