Head Nurse - Industrial directs nursing service activities in an industrial setting. Provides care to patients with emergency industrial accidents and surgery outpatients. Being a Head Nurse - Industrial plans and conducts training programs to promote employee health and safety in the workplace. Delegates responsibilities to auxiliary and industrial staff nurses. Additionally, Head Nurse - Industrial maintains pre-set inventory standards for solutions, supplies, medicines and equipment, and keeps track of narcotics. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - Industrial manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Nurse - Industrial typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     40 HOUR WORK WEEK OFFERED - NO RAIN-OUT DAYS

    1 & ½ time wages after 40 hours.

    Double-time wages if you have worked 40 hours in a week and then work on Sunday.

    1 & ½ time wages if you work on a Holiday, plus your Holiday pay.

    Free stock in the company after a qualifying period.

    Schedule:

    • 5x8 - 8-hour shift
    • 4x10 – 10-hour shift

    Paid Holidays, Paid Vacation after Probation Period, Insurance Available after 60 days, 401k and Employee Stock.

    Summary: Performs various labor-intensive tasks in a Power Plant setting under the direction of a supervisor or foreman. May operate a variety of hand and power tools. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, use high pressure fire hose, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials. May assist other craft workers. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

    While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and will frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor.

    Work from Elevations

    Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.

    Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

    Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.

    Material handling and storage.

    Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.

    Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Foreman or Safety personnel.

    Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in an industrial setting.

    Education and/or Experience -High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Work Environment - Industrial Power Plant. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles (Dust); toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
