We are currently hiring for a Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Control Nurse to join our team.
Required Qualifications:
* Registered Nurse with valid license in the state employed and two (2) years' experience.
* Extensive knowledge of current standards of practice and the rules, regulations, and laws related to the long-term care industry. Ability to teach this knowledge to others.
*Related experience at a level necessary to accomplish this position
*Must be able to adjust to a flexible schedule to include evenings, nights, and weekend work hours.
*Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in the completion of the facility assessment at least annually for determining the knowledge and skills among staff to meet residents' needs.
Identify and prioritize the facility's educations needs through the completion of an education needs assessment, based on the facility assessment.
Develops, schedules, and directs refresher training, as necessary for all personnel. Tracks attendance/completion of training to ensure that all required training is received by all personnel in a timely manner.
Plans, scheduled, conducts and oversees orientation program for all personnel.
To Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the Center risk Management program in accordance with elements of FS 400.147.
Ensure compliance with elements of FS 400.147
Coordinate data gathering functions to risk management as well as analyze and draw conclusions from the data gathered.
Facilitate prevention programs
Communicate with residents, family, center staff, management, and medical staff regarding all aspects of risk management, plans of correction, prevention programs, and Corporate compliance program.
