Head Nurse - Psychiatric Unit directs nursing service activities for assigned patients in the psychiatric unit. Delegates responsibilities to auxiliary and psychiatric staff nurses; supervises preparation and maintenance of psychiatric patient clinical records, and writes reports on psychiatric staff performance and services rendered. Being a Head Nurse - Psychiatric Unit maintains pre-set inventory standards for solutions, supplies, medicines and equipment, and keeps track of narcotics. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Head Nurse - Psychiatric Unit requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - Psychiatric Unit manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Nurse - Psychiatric Unit typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Inspire Psychiatric is growing, and currently looking to hire a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to see individuals in an outpatient office setting. 

    As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at a growing private practice with truly amazing clients; your role will involve providing compassionate, high-quality care to individuals seeking mental health services. You will work collaboratively with other mental psychiatric nurse practitioners at Inspire Psychiatric, as well as other health professionals, including psychologists and therapists, to create a supportive and effective treatment plan for each patient.
     
    Your daily responsibilities may include conducting psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing psychiatric disorders, prescribing medications, and working with patients and their families to develop coping strategies. 
     
    To excel in this role, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals seeking mental health services. You should be knowledgeable about a wide range of psychiatric disorders and treatments, and have experience working with patients across the lifespan.  Building strong rapport with both patients and their families is also an important part of being a provider at Inspire Psychiatric; as well as a commitment to staying up to date with emerging research and best practices in the field. 

    In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you may also be involved in marketing and outreach efforts to help build the practice and attract new clients.     Position Details:
    • Full-time or Part-time. 
    • Full-time is preferred and consists of seeing clients 28-35 hours per week. 
    • Part-time consists of seeing clients an average of 15-25 hours per week. 
    • Starting out as part-time and progressing to full-time status is an option.

    Ideal Candidate will have the following:
    • Expertise and desire in working with individuals of all ages, adolescent to the older adult.  
    • At least two years of experience as a Psychiatric Provider.
    • Interest in joining a Collaborative, Dynamic Group.

    • Effective Communication Skills.

    Requirements:
    • Current license to practice in California.
    • Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
    • Masters or Doctorate degree.
    • Ability to complete psychiatric evaluations and practice evidence-based medicine while prescribing.
    • Ability to build professional and therapeutic relationships with clients.
    • At least 2 years of experience in Private Practice is preferred.
