Utilization Review Quality Improvement Nurse

Community Nurse Home Care is looking for a full-time Utilization Review Quality Improvement RN to join the team. 35 hours per week with weekend rotation.

Position Education/License Requirements:

Currently licensed as a registered nurse pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 112.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of home health experience.
• Knowledge of home health regulations.
• Experience in administering the OASIS tool.
• Experience in OASIS review.
• Experience in ICD-10 coding.
• Experience in staff development or quality improvement.
• Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel).
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough reviews of admission, discharge, recertification, & resumption of care assessments.
• Provide timely feedback to clinicians and managers regarding areas of concern with each review.
• Assign accurate ICD-10 diagnosis codes to patient records.
• Ensure all face-to-face encounters are compliant with Medicare guidelines.
• Attend interdisciplinary team meetings as needed.
• Support clinicians to improve home health patient outcomes.
• Serve as resource regarding home health regulations.
• Serve as resource regarding home health documentation standards.
• Perform assigned departmental reports.
• Serve as a resource to staff for infection control.
• Perform N95 Fit Testing.
• Assist the Quality Improvement Manager in Emergency Preparedness activities (E-Prep education, drills, etc.)
• Assist the Quality Improvement Manager in processing record requests for patients, attorneys, & insurances.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37.00 - $39.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
