Head of Housekeeping jobs in Lawrence, MA

Wedgewood Weddings is hiring to expand our team of skilled Housekeeping/ Janitorial professionals to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of our event venues/buildings and common grounds.

A Wedgewood Weddings Housekeeper/Janitor is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines.

The Housekeeper/Janitor position is responsible for keeping the event space, office spaces, back of house, all bathrooms, and building exterior clean and tidy.

This position requires you to work an evening shift. Shift Examples; January-March: 7:00pm-3:00am April-December: 8:00pm-4:00am Shifts will vary based on event end time.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and appearance of public and staff areas including cleaning floors, walls, restrooms, kitchen, elevator, offices, event space, bars, building exterior, grounds, suites, windows/doors/mirrors, and dusting.
• Ensure that trash is removed from the facility and grounds.
• Empty and properly dispose of all trash.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms.
• Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture.
• Perform major and minor repairs around the facility under direction from the General Manager.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the General Manager, Regional Manager or Director of Facilities.
• Understand and adhere to environmental standards.
• Laying out clean linens on the tables.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in housekeeping or Janitorial.
• Proven experience in Housekeeping or Environment Services as a Cleaner, Janitor, Custodian, Housekeeper, or Environmental Services Tech and you are a stickler for cleanliness
• Attention to details & quality driven.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Exhibit professionalism around customers and fellow employees.
• Takes initiative to complete a task that may not be preassigned.
• Must be able to complete tasks effectively, accurately & in a timely manner.
• Ability to prioritize work in order of importance, manage time and work quickly without compromising quality.
• Ability to work in high and low temperatures.
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high-level of performance.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs. regularly.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

Qualifications:

• Availability to respond to occasional emergencies.
• Ability to multitask.
