Job Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for administering and monitoring the hospital’s readiness of quality management and quality improvement processes for all departments of the hospital. This role also oversee the Infection Control services for patients, visitors and staff members. You will also offer direction to licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, CNA’s and MHT, as well as non-professional nursing personnel in delivering direct patient care. You help as a clinical resource for problem resolution and patient care activities and take part in the education and enhancement of personnel and performance evaluation along with other administrative tasks as specified by the Director of Nursing. You partake in the education and development of colleagues through in-services and recognition of training/education needs. The incumbent provides leadership for process improvement initiatives that align with the organization’s strategic goals to improve quality outcomes while maintaining compliance with all regulatory, state, federal and Joint Commission standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Must have at least an Associates or Bachelor of Nursing degree. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Required: Requires 3-5 years of Nursing experience, with a minimum of three years’ experience in healthcare quality and performance improvement. Requires the ability to apply knowledge of personnel policies and procedures; strong customer service skills; high level of interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills. Progressive leadership experience.
Licensure: Currently licensed in the State of Indiana as a registered nurse. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred. Certified in Basic Life Support.
