Head Teller ensures the daily operational activities of the teller line are executed with accuracy and fulfill required service standards. Processes and records routine transactions, handles complex or unusual customer transactions, and answers more complex customer inquiries. Being a Head Teller depending on policy, may authorize certain transactions. Assists with teller onboarding, training, and guidance. Additionally, Head Teller is responsible for vault oversight and the daily auditing, reporting, and balancing processes. Oversees each teller's daily reconciliation and assists if needed. Ensures that tellers comply with all operating, regulatory, and security policies and procedures. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Head Teller supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Head Teller typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. A Seasonal Plow Driver in the Transportation Division performs snow removal on County roads; some physical labor may also be required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS: (All persons, with or without reasonable accommodation, who can perform the essential functions/tasks required of this job or position will receive consideration.)
(1) Operate various snow removal equipment to clear snow and other weather or disaster related emergency situations.
(2) Responsible for proper care of assigned equipment.
(3) Attend safety and job training classes.
(4) Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: (The following requirements are necessary to reasonably ensure the County that the individual selected for this position will be able to perform the essential functions, tasks of the position.)
(1) Skills/Knowledge:
Working knowledge and ability to operate snow removal equipment.
Ability to provide day-to-day maintenance of equipment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
(2) Experience/Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Proven work experience as an equipment operator and/or truck driver; any acceptable combination of education, training and experience that provides the listed knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted.
(3) Visual Acuity/Hearing/Speaking: Effective verbal communication skills.
(4) Physical Effort/Dexterity: Must be in good physical condition with the ability to lift and carry 80 pounds. Must be able to use a variety of hand tools.
(5) Environmental Factors: Must be able to work under adverse conditions for extended periods of time. Such conditions will include dirt, noise, rain, snow and extremes of temperatures.
(6) Work Schedule/Characteristics: Varied work schedules are required during certain weather conditions.
(7) Special Requirements: Possession of a valid Colorado Commercial Driver’s License Class B or above without restrictions.
