Health and Safety Administrator is responsible for identifying hazardous workplace conditions. Takes samples and measurements of hazardous materials, and coordinates the removal of physical, biological and chemical hazards. Being a Health and Safety Administrator trains employees on safety, company policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to employee safety. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Additionally, Health and Safety Administrator participates in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and identifying safety measures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be a Health and Safety Administrator typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.   • Purpose

    The Claims Administrator completes mission-critical work by assisting customers with tracking workplace injuries. This role helps clients prevent both human and financial tragedies by working with client representatives, facilities, and insurers to ensure that the injured employee is treated appropriately and documented for regulatory tracking requirements.

    Responsibilities

    Claims Management

    • Document specific claims by completing and recording forms, reports, logs, and records.
    • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
    • Maintain relationships and communication with carriers and clients.
    • Ensure compliance by following company policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as state and federal regulations.
    • Follow customer service best practices and respond promptly to customer inquiries.
    • Protect operations by keeping claims information confidential.

    Accident Management

    • Assist Director of Specialty Services in conducting accident response.
    • Coordinate dispatch with Safety Professionals for emergency response.
    • Contact customers and insurance carriers to finalize emergency response.
    • Support the claims process through research, expertise, and internal and external communication.
    • Follow and maintain applicable reporting procedures.
    • Process client data entry as required.

    Education, Experience, and Certifications

    Required

    • At least 2 years of experience in claims management
    • Strong computer skills are essential, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Understanding of workers’ compensation, general liability, property, and other risk programs
    • Knowledge of workers compensation laws and processes

    Preferred

    • Bachelor’s or other relevant degree
