EHS Manager

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent client in the greater Spartanburg, SC area within the plastics manufacturing industry, is seeking a EHS Manager to join their team! This position is responsible for ensuring the safety of employees, contractors, and visitors in the facility by leading programs that protect people from environmental, health and safety hazards. The EHS Manager will lead the planning, execution, monitoring and continuous improvement of environmental health and safety programs as well as regulatory and legal compliance. This includes identifying and correcting potentially dangerous work activities and ensuring training is conducted as required. This company boasts a competitive salary, and great benefits.

EHS Manager Job Summary

Pay rate: $80K

Shift: day

• Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Function as the Site Emergency Coordinator for safety, health, and environmental incidents.
• Lead site Health and Safety Committee and related activities.
• Drive Continuous Improvement Programs in environmental health and safety.
• Research environmental regulations and implement changes for compliance.

EHS Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in an appropriate technical field or equivalent.
• 5-10 years related experience in a safety-related field.
• Workers Compensation case management experience.
• ISO 14001 and 45001 preferred.
• Trainer Certification preferred.
