Health Educator jobs in Portsmouth, OH
Health Educator is responsible for developing and designing health education programs meant to increase community awareness and knowledge. Conducts needs assessments and keeps up-to-date on changes in health care technology to keep program material current. Being a Health Educator develops, coordinates, and disseminates educational resources and materials. May provide health education outreach and consultation. Additionally, Health Educator requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Health Educator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Portsmouth is a city in and the county seat of Scioto County, Ohio, United States. Located in southern Ohio 41 miles (66 km) south of Chillicothe, it lies on the north bank of the Ohio River, across from Kentucky, just east of the mouth of the Scioto River.
