Health Educator is responsible for developing and designing health education programs meant to increase community awareness and knowledge. Conducts needs assessments and keeps up-to-date on changes in health care technology to keep program material current. Being a Health Educator develops, coordinates, and disseminates educational resources and materials. May provide health education outreach and consultation. Additionally, Health Educator requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Health Educator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Nurse Educator
The Staff Development/Educator is a New York State Licensed Registered Professional Nurse who organizes, directs and instructs the agencies certified home health aide training and in-service programs.
Job Type: PER-DIEM
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities:
- Supervises and teaches in order to improve practice within the Agency.
- Works closely with the Director of Clinical Services to establish methods to facilitate and attain the objectives of the teaching program.
- Promotes Staff Development
- Maintaining standards and requirements set by the State of New York Department of Health regarding attendance, curriculum, student performance, required submissions and physical set-up of training room.
Employment - Monday through Friday, occasional Saturdays - normal business hours
Qualifications and Skills
Requirements:
- New York State Licensed Registered Nurse
- A Valid Driver's license
- Minimum one year home care experience.
- BSN preferred
- Computer literate

Pay: From $5,000.00 per month
