Health Informatics Director jobs in Kingsport, TN
Health Informatics Director directs an organization's clinical biostatistics or health informatics department. Oversees the analysis, management and performance of health information data to aid patient care. Being a Health Informatics Director monitors latest software and technology to keep processes up-to-date and efficient. Communicates with other departments and team members to identify new sources of data, ensure data is used effectively, and establish new initiatives. Additionally, Health Informatics Director requires a master's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Health Informatics Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Health Informatics Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. As a Director of Mental Health Program, your focus will be on the 3Cs; Care, Community and Compliance.
- Care: Manage, lead, and collaborate with a small, interdisciplinary team including a psychiatric physician, a social worker, and a CNA to provide high-quality care to our Older Adult patients as ordered.
- Community: Engage your local community (hospital staff, providers, and community resources) through education, presentations, and one-on-one encounters, informing them of our program's services and the overall importance of mental health.
- Compliance: Ensure implementation of compliant therapeutic services for patients utilizing the program, and oversee excellent patient care, including intake assessments, fall assessments, and treatment plan development.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse or Bachelor’s degree required
- Graduation from a state-approved school of nursing if applicable
- Psychiatric experience preferred
- Passion for working with Older Adults preferred
