Health Informatics Director jobs in Middlesex, NJ

Provides analysis and data management services to Central Jersey Medical Center and data mapping validation and client reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• High level analysis, reporting, and benchmarking.
• Mapping data, loading data, validation of data mapping, and benefit account structures.
• Development using SQL server and database administration.
• Programming DTS or SSIS packages, data warehousing, use of Reporting Services, designing/architecting database schema, solving performance bottlenecks using SQL Profiler.
• Establishes short and mid-term goals and objectives for the Health Data Services function.
• Develops guidelines, policies, standards, and procedures for the Health Data Services function.
• Coordinates the integration of Health Data projects.
• Develops, maintains, and refines a variety of reports, as directed by management.
• Identifies Health Data Services-related areas within the Company that require change or could be enhanced. Makes recommendations and work plans on changes needed within the systems.
• Reviews monthly data integrity checks for claims and eligibility data.
• Develops and prepares ad hoc and standard analyses for meetings.
• Develops on-going standardized and ad hoc financial & utilization reports.
• Provides monthly populations report for various departments including Medicaid Wraparound, UDS, Meaningful Use, PCMH, and clinical metrics per department.
• Other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor.

EXPERIENCE/ABILITY REQUIRED:

• Experience in health care/health insurance data analysis and reporting.
• SQL Programming experience.
• Strong analytical skills.
• PC proficiency and relevant experience with database and spreadsheet applications.
• Minimum of 2 years experience with health care principles and claims information.
• Ability to work independently, with limited supervision, making decisions that affect the Company’s success and profitability.
• Experience in Healthcare GE, Centricity and Dentrix
• FQHC experience a Plus
