Health Informatics Director directs an organization's clinical biostatistics or health informatics department. Oversees the analysis, management and performance of health information data to aid patient care. Being a Health Informatics Director monitors latest software and technology to keep processes up-to-date and efficient. Communicates with other departments and team members to identify new sources of data, ensure data is used effectively, and establish new initiatives. Additionally, Health Informatics Director requires a master's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Health Informatics Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Health Informatics Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • Core Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic leadership for the wellness department in the community by working with each department to coordinate care and services that promote resident’s quality of life. Direct management of the care team and medication providers, as applicable by State/Province law, to promote the health and wellness your residents.
    • Provide care through the direct application of the care process; perform and document resident assessments, complete Individualized Service Plans, provide or delegate hands-on clinical care as indicated by the plan of care and evaluate resident outcomes.
    • Provide oversight of the community medication management program to promote resident safety in the medication use process.
    • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other ancillary partners to coordinate care and services for the residents within the community.
    • Provide training and education as needed to care team. Perform skill evaluation to develop and promote clinical capabilities of team members.
    • Monitor and assess care changes and needs to identify risk. Lead care quality and process improvement initiatives within the community to mitigate risk and improve resident care outcomes.
    • Recruit hire and train care team members managing performance and engagement.
    • Complete direct report team member staffing and scheduling according to operational and budgetary guidelines.
    • Support regulatory compliance for the community clinical and care items.
    • Managing resident event management and response.

    Qualifications

    • 2 years of experience as an RN, LPN, LVN with valid license; one year in home health, assisted living, memory support, or long-term care preferred
    • 1 years of nursing management experience to include hiring, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and daily operations supervision.
    • Academic degree in related field may be accepted as allowed by state regulations.
    • Strong communication, computer, community relations, and personnel skills.
