Health Informatics Director directs an organization's clinical biostatistics or health informatics department. Oversees the analysis, management and performance of health information data to aid patient care. Being a Health Informatics Director monitors latest software and technology to keep processes up-to-date and efficient. Communicates with other departments and team members to identify new sources of data, ensure data is used effectively, and establish new initiatives. Additionally, Health Informatics Director requires a master's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Health Informatics Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Health Informatics Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Job Duties

    The Department of Nursing and Allied Health in the College of Science, Engineering and
    Technology seeks applications for a non-tenure assistant professor position. This position is full-time including 6 weeks during the summer,

    Job description includes but not limited to:

    • Follow all administrative requirements in relation to class rosters, student learning, grading and testing practices, and related departmental reports.
    • Teach assigned courses every semester, including summer.
    • Submit syllabi in accordance with university guidelines and distribute to students prior to the first day of class.
    • Remain available to students for academic advisement and mentoring and announce and keep office hours that are convenient to both students and the professor.
    • Establish and maintain professional and ethical boundaries with colleagues, students, and others in the learning environment.
    • Engage in scholarly activities, professional development, and service.
    • strive to develop among students, respect for others and their opinions, by demonstrating respect for each student as a learner and as an individual.
    • Maintain student records, respecting FERPA and other privacy standards.
    • Establish and maintain instructor presence in the inline environment.
    • Communicate effectively.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    1. An earned Ph.D or doctorate in Health Informatics or related field.
    2. Record of teaching online courses in institutions of higher learning, using Blackboard.
    3. Evidence of scholarly activities, professional development, and service.
    4. Experience in the use of technology, software, and resources to assist in the delivery of course content.
    5. Experience working in the healthcare field.
    6. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    7. Evidence of Online Instructor Certification and/or Quality Matters Certification.
