We have an immediate need for a seasoned Maintenance Director to continue our tradition of care at our highly rated Post-Acute / Skilled Nursing facility and are accepting resumes.
The Maintenance Director directs preventive and required maintenance, repair, and improvement and oversees the housekeeping, laundry and janitorial department. Must have strategic approach to leadership in managing a team of diverse people, provide ongoing training and maintain a balanced schedule for staffing needs. The Director must be able to execute company plans with project management skills to ensure a superior facility inside and out. The Maintenance Director must take initiative and have a systematic approach for knowing how to address facility needs, basic repairs and necessary equipment upgrades on a routine basis. A strong focus is needed for the facility upkeep in order to maintain a clean, sanitary, safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff and visitors.
Key responsibilities include general building maintenance and repair to include building infrastructure, roofing, fire and HVAC, and other; creating system schedules and program logs; understanding of floor care; supervision and training of staff; and ordering/inventory control.
Position qualifications include high school diploma and associates degree and five or more years directing complex maintenance and facility functions. Project management, mechanical aptitude, computer literacy, and strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Bilingual English/Spanish skill and prior health care experience and knowledge of Title 22, Life Safety compliance strongly preferred.
