Heavy Assembler assembles fabricated parts to large or heavy subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Heavy Assembler conducts welding, riveting, and trimming of parts to fit or align components. Uses hand and power tools, jigs, fixtures, and other assembly equipment. Additionally, Heavy Assembler typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Heavy Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. We are looking to hire Heavy wrecker, and Lowbed operators in our Carmel ME location. This position requires work with heavy equipment transport, flatbed
transport and oversize/overweight transport, and training to work as a heavy wrecker operator. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment and requires a positive team player attitude. Knowledge of trucks an equipment and mechanical aptitude is a must.
We have a rotating schedule of on call for all drivers. Usually requires a weekend or two a month and a few evenings a week.
