Helpdesk Technician jobs in Decatur, AL

Sigmatech has an opening for an organized, self-starter to provide basic end-user helpdesk support for the corporate office in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities and Duties may include:

• Monitor and respond to support requests via email, phone and in-person
• Track support requests in the helpdesk ticketing system (ServiceDesk Plus)
• Escalate support issues as necessary
• Create and manage user credentials
• Setup and maintain employee email accounts
• Setup conference meetings
• Assist in the procurement for company IT equipment
• Installation and configuration of new workstations and printers
• Provide off-site support
• Assist IT Manager with additional projects as needed

Experience and Skills:

Required Qualifications:

• 1-2 years Experience providing technical support to users in an office environment
• Demonstratable working knowledge with the following:
• Windows 10
• Microsoft Active Directory
• Office 365 Account Support: Azure, Intune, Exchange
• Office Applications: Standard office applications such as Word and Excel, MS Teams, OneDrive
• Basic Networking concepts and troubleshooting
• Self starter
• Able to work independently with little supervision
• Able to work in a team setting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong working knowledge of Windows based computers

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts
• Knowledge or exposure to Linux a plus
• Active Secret Security Clearance

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred may substitute degree for experience
• Certifications: Security required within 90 days of hire date
