Helper- Brick and Stone Mason prepares and lays brick, concrete block, tile, marble, and related materials using chisels, hammers, trowels, and other hand tools and implements. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Helper- Brick and Stone Mason may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Helper- Brick and Stone Mason relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Laborers: $14.00 - $18.00/hr.

1. Operate a shovel
2. Dig trenches / footings
3. Stack block, brick, and stone
4. Mix mortar
5. Clean walls
Tenders: $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
Must be able to perform the following job tasks:
1. All the abilities of a Laborer
2. Ability to help lay out cuts
3. Ability to see ahead / stay in front of masons with minimal guidance
Masons: $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
Must be able to perform the following job tasks:
1. Ability to lay all aspects of masonry (brick, block, and stone)
2. Ability to lay out jobs, stay on tasks, and meet job quotas
3. Ability to build masonry walls and fireplaces
Foremen: D.O.E
Must be able to perform the following job tasks:
1. Read plans
2. Ability to lay all aspects of masonry (brick, block, and stone)
3. Ability to lay out jobs, stay on tasks, and meet job quotas
4. Ability to build masonry walls and fireplaces
***Pay grade will be raised if you move up in masonry position. There is a 3-month probationary period in which we will observe your skill set. At any point within this period are we permitted to terminate you based on lack of operating any of the above job tasks. After the 3-month probationary period, you will be given uniforms and the option to receive health benefits. After 1 year of employment, you will be given holiday and vacation pay (further discussed upon hire).***
