Helper- Brick and Stone Mason jobs in Lynchburg, VA

Worcester Eisenbrandt, a historical restoration construction company, is looking for Mason Helpers to work on exciting projects in Maryland, District of Columbia and Charlottesville Virginia

General Information about the job:

• Build scaffold, load work areas with materials
• Mix mortar, and stock block and brick
• Clean up, inventory and store equipment, materials and work area
• Cleans masonry
• Mix mortar accurately by hand and/or power mixer
• Works alongside masons to assist with productivity
• Works safely and is familiar with OSHA requirements
• Must be self-motivated and willing to work under various weather conditions
• Projects range from Washington D.C., Northern Virginia to Baltimore, Maryland

Mental and Physical Requirements:

• Dependable, reliable, fulfills responsibilities
• Strong physical and mental health using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials 
• Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
• Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, breathing and hard hats when needed
• No fear of heights
• Qualifications:
• Some experience of general masonry
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance on scaffolds up-to 70 feet (no fear of heights) and ladders, lift and carry objects weighing up-to 75 pounds
