Histology Technician jobs in Maryland

Our privately owned veterinary diagnostic pathology lab is seeking a talented histology technician for our busy, growing lab located in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

This is a part time (M-F), permanent, morning position (7 am- 12 pm) perfect for a highly motivated histology professional. Family-like atmosphere and great compensation. We get a large variety of samples, from endoscopic nasal and GI to bone to fatty tumors to dermal masses.

The ideal candidate has experience working in a variety of histology lab settings and is familiar with manual and automated histology techniques. Must be a quick learner, flexible, a confident microtomist, have excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. In addition, the ideal candidate must be able to work independently.

Major responsibilities include embedding, microtomy, staining (H&E as well as special stains) and assisting with grossing/processing as needed.

Requirements:

Experience working as a histotechnician, including microtomy, embedding and staining.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 23 – 28 per week
