Being a Hoist and Winch Operator may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Hoist and Winch Operator relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The role of Groomer-Winch Operators is to provide safe and efficient grooming of all Powder Mountain trails and slopes. Work Environment:
Work is performed inside and outside the snowcat consisting of extreme temperatures, loud sounds and noises that are distracting, sun and wind exposure, inclement weather (rain, snow, ice), high altitudes (9,000 ft ). Sometimes must drive in very bright sunlight or when it is dark outside.
