Hospice Supervisor jobs in Columbia, SC
Hospice Supervisor manages the resources, operations, and staff of hospice care programs. Works with families and patients to develop optimal care plans. Being a Hospice Supervisor coordinates the delivery of a patient/family assessment process and care plan development. Oversees interdisciplinary teams of medical doctors, nursing staff, and other care providers inside and outside the facility. Additionally, Hospice Supervisor maintains an up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations of federal, state, and regulatory bodies relative to hospice care. May require a bachelor's degree in nursing, social work or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Hospice Supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Hospice Supervisor typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Requirements:
- Must be a licensed RN
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Must live in or adjacent to Newberry County.
- Previous experience in Hospice, Home Health, or Nursing Home desired, but not required.
- Previous experience with Health Care Administration preferred.
Duties:
- Manage the administrative requirements for compliance with DHEC, CMS, etc., using our electronic health record system
- Assist in the preparation and management of the budgets and financial reports
- Assist in the admission of, and nursing care for Bernardo Hospice Care patients
- Lead the hospice team, which includes RN, LPN, SW, CNA, Chaplain, and Volunteer Coordinator and conduct the bi-weekly Interdisciplinary Team meeting with staff
- Recruit, interviews, and hires staff
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $72,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
