Hospice Supervisor manages the resources, operations, and staff of hospice care programs. Works with families and patients to develop optimal care plans. Being a Hospice Supervisor coordinates the delivery of a patient/family assessment process and care plan development. Oversees interdisciplinary teams of medical doctors, nursing staff, and other care providers inside and outside the facility. Additionally, Hospice Supervisor maintains an up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations of federal, state, and regulatory bodies relative to hospice care. May require a bachelor's degree in nursing, social work or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Hospice Supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Good Samaritan Hospice, an entity of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, is seeking a Clinical Supervisor, RN for a full time position which will report into our Administrative office in Valencia, PA.
The Hospice Clinical Supervisor is a licensed Registered Nurse responsible for overseeing day to day patient care by assisting patients, caregivers/families, Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) members and health care providers involved in patient care. The Clinical Supervisor, RN is a supervisory role to ensure patient care is coordinated and managed efficiently and with the highest quality in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
The Clinical Supervisor RN position works Monday through Friday with a weekend rotation.
