Hospital Staffing Coordinator coordinates scheduling and staffing to ensure sufficient staff coverage for all shifts within a healthcare facility. Works with clinical and administrative departments to project staffing needs and achieve required staffing levels. Being a Hospital Staffing Coordinator utilizes and maintains staffing scheduling software/programs to schedule shifts, monitor staffing levels, and input related data. May perform other administrative functions as necessary. Additionally, Hospital Staffing Coordinator may be responsible for recruiting new staff. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Hospital Staffing Coordinator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Key Responsibilities:
- Design monthly schedules and daily tasks for CNAs, and Nurses.
- Assist in computing certified hours for the nursing team.
- Preserve comprehensive attendance records.
- Maintain an updated directory of clinical care employee contacts.
- Collaborate closely with new hires to ensure comprehensive onboarding.
- Covering for staffing deficits when required
- Assist with scheduling medical appointments and transportation for facility residents requiring outpatient services
- Execute additional tasks as guided by the Director of Nursing or Administrator.
What You Bring:
- A minimum of one year's experience as a staffing coordinator in a nursing setting (ILF, ALF, SNF, staffing agency etc.).
- Stellar communication abilities paired with outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Certified Nursing Assistant license is required.
