Hospital Staffing Coordinator jobs in Maine
Hospital Staffing Coordinator coordinates scheduling and staffing to ensure sufficient staff coverage for all shifts within a healthcare facility. Works with clinical and administrative departments to project staffing needs and achieve required staffing levels. Being a Hospital Staffing Coordinator utilizes and maintains staffing scheduling software/programs to schedule shifts, monitor staffing levels, and input related data. May perform other administrative functions as necessary. Additionally, Hospital Staffing Coordinator may be responsible for recruiting new staff. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Hospital Staffing Coordinator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. The Staffing Coordinator is a nursing team member who coordinates/schedules the nursing department staffing schedule, and works closely with the DON, ADON and Human Resources department to achieve this.
Scheduling Coordinator Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Develops, coordinates, and maintains the monthly schedule and daily staffing sheets for the nursing department
- Receives call outs from staff and replaces as needed per facility staffing patterns
- Manages Earned Benefit Time Requests for employees as approved by the DON or ADON

Required Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required- Active CNA license or the desire to obtain one is required
- Customer service or scheduling experience preferred
