Hot Oil Unit Operator jobs in Portland, ME

Hot Oil Unit Operator operates machinery used for proper breakdown of wax, paraffin and other buildup in hot oil units. Responsible for proper handling of hot oil truck and all other tools or machinery. Being a Hot Oil Unit Operator may be responsible for training new employees and ensuring that personnel is properly adhering to safety precautions. May perform administrative duties as necessary. Additionally, Hot Oil Unit Operator requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Hot Oil Unit Operator works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Job Summary
    We are seeking an entry level Ambulance Operator to join our team! As an Ambulance Operator you will be responding to emergency calls, assisting the EMT as necessary, and driving the ambulance to the emergency scene and then to the hospital. You will also work closely with dispatch and receiving medical facilities. The ideal candidate has an excellent bedside manner, strong critical thinking skills, and works well in high-pressure or stressful situations. This position is full time or per diem. Ambulance Operator will spend shift in-station.

    Responsibilities
    • Respond to emergency calls in a timely manner, with the ability to stay calm under pressure
    • Administer CPR and first aid and treatment to sick or injured people under the direction of a licensed responder.
    • Collect vital information from patients.
    • Communicate with hospitals, treatment centers, and other EMTs effectively to convey emergency information.
    • Clean the ambulance, and restock supplies after a call under the direction of the EMT, and perform daily truck inspections
    • Continue to attend training sessions to maintain certification and keep up to date with new medical knowledge

    Qualifications
    • Maine EMS Ambulance Operators License upon hiring
    • EVOC/AVOC course completion within 6 month of hire
    • The ability to act quickly in emergency situations
    • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
    • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
