We are looking to add a Sales Coordinator who will be responsible for revenue production for the hotel, and meeting or exceeding planned revenue objectives for occupancy and average daily rate. Learn our reservation software. Source new leads and visit them. Hand out flyers. Negotiate LNRs. Assist with group business, meeting room setup, booking catering. You will manage all areas of sales according to Hourglass Hotel and Brand Standards to achieve a professional rapport within the local business community. Our Sales Coordinator’s assist with promotional materials, administrative duties and are in constant contact with the hotel General Manager and ownership,

You must have flexible scheduling availability to include mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Job Requirements:

• Involved in community and/or government affairs to ensure effective marketing of the hotel
• Demonstrate commitment to guest service by responding to guest needs
• Develop and implement marketing and sales plans based on demand segments and to maximize REVPAR and Market Share
• Understand why competitors are successful in each demand segment and directly market/sell against the competition
• Know key accounts and actively "sells" through sales calls, property tours, strategic marketing, etc.
• Prepare required reports for the management team
• Maintain vendor and client information where necessary
• Collaborate with Front Office Team to ensure the details of the group and special corporate directives are executive properly and you are striving to achieve the same goals

Job Qualifications:

• "Hands-On" team member who is actively involved on a daily basis
• Ability to drive outside sales calls
• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
• Ability to work well in stressful situations

Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service

What will you be doing most days?

• Initiate and follow up on leads for your market segment
• Make sales calls, visit customer locations and make on-the-spot presentations
• Work collaboratively with the entire hotel team to make sure all sales efforts are coordinated and complementary
• Provide comprehensive action plans for your week, month and quarter but know when to try something that is out-of-the-box

What are the requirements for this position?

• You have previous sales experience
• You are action oriented and have strong negotiating skills
• You have prior leadership skills directing the efforts of others to achieve budgeted expectations
• You have strong business acumen and you're passionate about numbers and meeting sales goals
• You have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• You have a valid driver's license

Physical Requirements for this Position

You must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time as the job dictates

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
