Housekeeping Associate jobs in the United States

We are looking to hire an experienced lead to oversee all duties performed by our housekeeping staff and ensure that the housekeeping staff is in compliance with all safety and sanitation policies.

To be successful as a housekeeping lead, you should be able to develop and implement strategies to improve the functioning of the department. Ultimately, an exceptional lead will have excellent management skills and be able to ensure that housekeeping operations run efficiently.

Specific duties and responsibilities

· Direct and maintain all aspects of the housekeeping department and staff

· Scheduling staff shifts and organizing replacements as required

· Housekeeping task assignments and inspecting to ensure that the prescribed standards of cleanliness are met

· Investigating and addressing complaints. Follow-up with the resolution

· Taking regular inventory of supplies and ordering needed stock

· Screening housekeeping applicants and reviewing performance

· Performing various cleaning duties in instances of staff shortages. Being physically capable of cleaning, lifting bags, making beds, etc...

· Build and maintain a high energy team atmosphere in the housekeeping and laundry department

· Working alongside maintenance team to ensure homes are ready for occupancy

· Review payroll and monitor accuracy of timecards

· Hold employees and yourself accountable for work quality and standards

· Form and conduct staff meetings for safety, policies, procedures, issues, changes

· Analyze and forecast department needs for seasonal and off day staffing

· Identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organization efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings

This position is 3 days a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday). Additional weekdays may be required during busy seasons. Communication with staff and management on out of the office days is needed to ensure maximum efficiency to complete the weekly schedules (you will be compensated for this communication).

Must have valid driver’s license and your own reliable transportation.
