    Job Summary/Basic Function:
    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Provide administrative leadership for campus housing, consisting of two facilities with approximately 250 residents.
    • Train, supervise and facilitate the professional development of two live-in resident life Assistant Directors and numerous paraprofessional staff (e.g., student workers, resident assistants, etc.).
    • Lead the department in planning, implementing, and evaluating all Housing & Residence Life policies.
    • Manage, monitor and maintain student housing software, systems, forms and materials.
    • Oversee and ensure the accuracy of housing contracts, room condition reports, emergency contact forms, and health & safety inspections for each residential facility;
    • Develop and track department occupancy and retention goals (monthly, quarterly and annually) and report outcomes to the Dean of Student Development and as part of regularly scheduled program reviews;
    • Manage and direct student housing application and room change process for both incoming and returning students. Track student applications and communicate housing assignment information;
    • Accurately and effectively manage the budgets for Student Housing;
    • Maintain student housing billing records and manage changes to ensure accurate billing of student rent and fees ;
    • Track student payments, follow up directly with students who have past due accounts, adhering to deadlines for applying late fees and releasing for non-payment;
    • Generate reports and provide analysis on applications, occupancy, and general student housing trends;
    • Collaborate with college's Marketing and Communications department to create and implement quarterly and annual marketing plans to promote student housing;
    • Maintain the accuracy of the student housing website and ensure that other marketing materials remain accurate and accessible to college personnel and students;
    • Develop and maintain rapport with residents through regular contact, assess needs and concerns of residents, and advocate for students in all aspects of their student housing experience;
    • Participate in and manage an administrator-in-charge schedule for evening, weekend and holiday/break coverage;
    • Serve on Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) and provide appropriate resources and referrals to student housing residents.
    • In collaboration with the assigned Student Conduct Officer, address conduct issues that arise in Student Housing.
    • Provide leadership and follow through to resolve all critical incidents involving students and/or impacting facility safety;
    • Serve as a resource for students, parents, and administrators by responding to student housing inquiries and concerns;
    • Establish and sustain partnerships between student housing and other campus departments that provide programs and services for residential students;
    • Establish and sustain positive relationships with off-campus organizations and local assistance resources with the purpose of curating information about rental rates, services, resources, and ability to make referrals as needed;
    • Participate in the development/implementation of College policies, procedures, and initiatives as assigned.
    • Collaborate with International Education to welcome and provide ongoing support new and returning international students;
    • Serve on the Student Services Leadership Council and other related college and/or community committees as directed;
    • Perform other duties as assigned.



    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree;
    • Five (5) years progressive administrative responsibility in a higher education setting OR equivalent education and experience;
    • Three (3) years of experience specifically in student housing/residence life;
    • Two (2) years of supervisory responsibility;
    • Experience that demonstrates strong communication, team building and management skills;
    • Working knowledge of laws and regulations which impact Housing & Residential Life programs and students such as CAS Standards, Fair Housing Act, HEOA, FERPA, Title IX, student conduct and due process, etc.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with populations representing diverse backgrounds, life experiences and abilities;
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities and ability to manage work within a high-paced and high-demand environment;
    • Experience that demonstrates student-centered decision making;
    • Strong computer skills, specifically within Microsoft and Google suite.



    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Masters Degree in student personnel, student affairs, recreation, human services, communication or related field;
    • Experience supervising live-in professional staff and/or student resident assistants;
    • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing residence life programing, events and activities;
    • Experience working in a community college housing setting and with a large international student population;
    • Grant management experience.
    • Bilingual or multilingual.
