Housing Program Manager oversees operations of a housing program. Sets budget and policies, hires and trains staff, and oversees occupancy eligibility/operations. Being a Housing Program Manager develops and provides reports or documentation needed to secure/maintain funding or grants. May lead the work of others. Additionally, Housing Program Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Housing Program Manager contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. The Housing Authority of Newport is currently accepting resumes for the position of Public Housing Property Manager. The Property Manager is responsible for the overall day to day management of particular housing developments, and does so in compliance with local laws, State regulations and HUD regulations and guidelines. This individual will maintain compliance with program rules and regulations; execute paperwork necessary for assistance; calculate tenant rents; document client files; perform data input; assist with other occupancy matters. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products. Excellent math and communication skills a must. Previous experience in Public Housing and Low Income Housing Tax Credit programs a plus.
