    As an integral part of our HR department, The Benefits Specialist will play a crucial role in administering employee benefits programs and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in benefits administration, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting employees. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive organizational growth and development.

    Responsibilities:*

    • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
    • Serve as the main point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, assisting with enrollment, changes, and eligibility.
    • Coordinate with benefits providers to ensure accurate and timely processing of enrollments, terminations, and claims.
    • Conduct benefits orientations for new hires and provide ongoing education to employees about available benefits options.
    • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement strategies for enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction through benefits offerings.
    • Stay updated on changes to federal and state regulations related to employee benefits and ensure company compliance.
    • Prepare and distribute communications materials related to benefits programs, including open enrollment materials, plan summaries, and notices.
    • Assist with the administration of leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, and other statutory requirements.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to benefits administration, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
    • Support HR initiatives and projects as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
    • 3 years of experience in benefits administration or a similar HR role.
    • Fluent in Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
    • Strong understanding of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
    • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn new software programs quickly.
    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing employee benefits, including ERISA, ACA, and HIPAA.
    • Professional certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP is a plus.
