HR Data Analyst supports the design, deployment, and administration of operational processes used to deliver HR programs and projects. Collaborates with stakeholders to provide consultation, process design, and project management of HR program implementations and initiatives like compensation, benefits, performance management, or training. Being an HR Data Analyst implements scalable methodologies and tools to optimize HR operations and streamline core processes like onboarding, hiring, terminations, retirements, timekeeping, and others that make up the employment life-cycle. Performs employee data management and analysis processes to ensure that data is secure and maintained consistent with company policies and privacy regulations. Additionally, HR Data Analyst prepares and delivers required reporting and filings. May be responsible for the coordination of HR process outsourcing vendors and contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The HR Data Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Job Description

    This position is the recognized resource for the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan (PAAM) budget. This position is responsible for creating reports and monitoring expenditures and income from multiple platforms. In addition, this position is responsible for the systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of PACC/ PAAM dues as they relate to the budgets for both entities and for making recommendations regarding the allocation of dues earnings to specific budget items. This requires an in-depth knowledge of non-profit accounting practices. The position advises the Financial Specialist (Financial Officer), Prosecutor Trainer Coordinator and Senior Deputy Director on such issues. Lastly, this position serves as back-up to the Financial Specialist (Financial Officer) during times in which that person is absent and must have detailed knowledge of the program planning and budgeting for both organizations.

    The Prosecuting Attorneys Coordinating Council (PACC) is an “autonomous entity in the Department of Attorney General.” It is statutorily responsible for the oversight and administrative management of the non-profit Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan (PAAM), including all accounting functions and financial operations.

    Required Education and Experience

    Education

    Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major with at least 12 semester (18 term) credits in one or acombination of the following: accounting, finance, or economics.


    Experience


    Financial Analyst 9
    No specific type or amount is required.

    Financial Analyst 10
    One year of professional experience providing a systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and/or evaluation of budgets, mortgages, loans, or other financial data, equivalent to a Financial Analyst 9.

    Financial Analyst P11
    Two years of professional experience providing a systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and/or evaluation of budgets, mortgages, loans, or other financial data, equivalent to a Financial Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Financial Analyst 10.

    Financial Analyst 12
    Three years of professional experience providing a systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and/or evaluation of budgets, mortgages, loans, or other financial data, equivalent to a Financial Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Financial Analyst P11.

    Alternate Education and Experience

    College credits may be substituted on a proportional basis (one year of college education may substitute for one quarter of the required experience) for up to one half of the required experience.

    Vacation and Sick Leave: Eligible full-time employees receive between 15 and 35 personal days and 13 sick days per year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.

    Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leave immediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.

    Paid Holidays: Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year’s Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.

    Military Pay Differential: Employees in the guard or reserves may also qualify for supplemental pay benefits if miliary pay during qualifying duty is less than normal state pay. Prior military service may also allow seniority credits to accelerate eligibility for longevity bonuses and additional personal leave accrual.

    Tax-Advantaged Programs: In addition to 401(k) and 457 retirement accounts, the state also offers flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HSA), and qualified transportation fringe benefit (QTFB) programs that can help you save money by reducing your taxable income.

    Student Loan Forgiveness: Working for the State of Michigan may allow you to participate in programs that forgive the balance of qualifying student loans. Information to help determine if you could qualify is available from the U.S. Department of Education.
