Position Summary | The University of New Mexico’s (UNM) Office for Academic Personnel is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking Operations Manager to supervise the day-to-day operation of the office. The Office for Academic Personnel (OAP) serves as a central service center for administrators and faculty regarding academic personnel human resources needs. OAP specifically supports the labor relations, recruitment, selection, appointment, promotion, retention and oversight of a diverse, highly talented academic personnel within academic units on UNM Main and Branch campuses. The Operations Manager will supervise a team of HR Analysts and support personnel, lead process improvement initiatives and by providing expert guidance on academic personnel matters. The Operations Manager will work closely with UNM’s Division of Human Resources, the Provost and the Provost’s Leadership team, deans, and branch campus chancellors to resolve issues that affect academic personnel and provide seamless service and support to the University Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience managing at least one of the following functional areas: fiscal services, administration and/or human resources AND 3 years of additional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
