Job Summary: The Operations Manager for Seniors First is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the organization's day-to-day activities by leading a team of Program Managers and staff. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and effective execution of the organization's mission and objectives. The Operations Manager will collaborate closely with the executive leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Team Management:
Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to Program Managers and staff
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging professional growth and development.
2. Operational Oversight:
Streamline and optimize operational processes, procedures, and workflows.
Ensure the efficient allocation of resources, including budget management and resource planning.
Develop and implement organizational policies and procedures.
3. Program Management:
Collaborate with Program Managers to set and monitor program goals and objectives.
Assess program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
Ensure program compliance with regulatory requirements and funding guidelines.
4. Strategic Planning:
Work closely with the executive leadership team to develop and execute the organization's strategic plan.
Identify opportunities for growth and improvement in alignment with the nonprofit's mission.
6. Stakeholder Engagement:
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with donors, partners, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and events.
7. Performance Measurement and Reporting:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms to assess organizational and programmatic success.
Provide regular updates and reports to the executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
8. Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and nonprofit best practices.
Mitigate risks through proactive identification and management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent years of experience
Proven experience in nonprofit management, including program management and operations.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and strategic planning abilities.
Financial management and budgeting expertise.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of nonprofit sector regulations and compliance.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Commitment to the mission and values of the nonprofit organization.
Pay & Benefits: $65,000-$75,000 DOE. We pay a portion of the employee's medical premium up to $500 monthly. We offer dental, vision, and life insurance. We have a 3% employee matching program for retirement. 10 paid holidays a year and 88 hours PTO for full-time employees.
