    The Role

    As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Senior Manager to support our HR Operations/Innovation team. This person is responsible for helping execute the transformation of process and automation to improve our customer support experience and operational efficiencies. This role will lead and shape a Global Human Resources Operations team, ensuring a consistent and standardized approach is applied to support. This role oversees execution of HR processes, with an approach to continuously streamline and automate to ensure data integrity, efficiency, and optimal employee/manager experience. This will require you to think big, use data to guide your work, be comfortable challenging convention and to reinvent how Human Resources Operations and Service delivery is done. QuidelOrtho utilizes Workday, which will be a key tool in delivering support to our organization. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about process design and improvement, collaboration with key stakeholders, and strong customer service ideals paired with focused prioritization. The ability to think beyond current state and focus on what is possible is critical for this role. We are reviewing and reinventing the way we work and partner with our business.     This position is remote eligible in the US but will be supporting our Global team operating on an east coast time zone. Minimal travel required.

    The Responsibilities

    • Lead the service delivery of the full employee Human Resources operational lifecycle: new employees, onboarding, processing employee data, offboarding, reporting, business processes and workflows, etc.
    • Identify opportunities for automation and technology enhancements to streamline workflows and reduce manual tasks.
    • Design and implementation of SLA's, KPI's for all Human Resources Operations accountabilities.
    • Ability to diagnose, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommend and implement strategies to resolve problems.
    • Problem solves root cause of HR Operations and employee related issues and works to prevent re-occurrence.
    • Continually create, review and update documented processes standards for the area of responsibility.
    • Ability to analyze data, understand trends and provide insights and recommendations.
    • Seek collaboration with cross-functional team to implement process improvements and integrated service delivery models.
    • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

    The Individual

    Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR Operations role, with at least 2 years leadership.
    • Demonstrated experience with Workday capabilities and implementation of new/updated processes in Workday.
    • Proven experience in payroll administration and employee benefits management.
    • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
    • Experience using and developing teams' usage of Workday.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to different stakeholders.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement improvements.
    • Ability to negotiate realistic timelines for new requests and to say no to stakeholders when higher priority items require focus.
    • Diligence and accuracy in data management and reporting.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with an initiative-taking and self-motivated attitude.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.

    Preferred:

    • Strong preference for candidate to be in Eastern or Central US time zone to facilitate management of global direct reports.

    The Work Environment

    No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work. Minimal travel required. Travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel.

    Salary Transparency

    The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $99,000 to $198,000 and is bonus. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
