Who are we looking for?
We are in search of a versatile individual experienced in Workday HRIS to join our team. While comprehensive expertise in every aspect of Workday is not mandatory, proficiency across multiple modules and a solid understanding of reporting and dashboard functionalities are essential.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various modules within Workday, such as Core HCM, Compensation, Absence, Recruiting, and Talent Management. Additionally, they should possess the ability to navigate and utilize Workday's reporting and dashboard tools effectively.
Given that our client has recently implemented Workday, this role demands someone who can swiftly adapt to different areas of the system, troubleshoot issues, and maximize its capabilities to meet the organization's HR needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Create and maintain comprehensive requirements for requested changes, enhancements, or projects. Accountable for articulating functional processes from beginning to end.
Provide Workday subject matter expertise for day-to-day support and development including business process configuration, calculated fields, integrations, data transmission (EIB), testing and other troubleshooting support.
Architect solutions including configuration, integrations, security, testing, and implementation of new features and functionalities while managing cross-functional impact.
Research and advise on Workday best practices and partner with cross-functional departments to understand pain points, prioritize requirements and identify opportunities to improve processes and gain efficiency.
Work closely with third party vendors on integrations, updates, and testing.
Understand dependencies across Workday modules (Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll and Benefits) and integrations with other systems.
Build out Reporting and Dashboard capabilities that enable leadership to make strategic team and talent decisions.
Maintain awareness of Workday future releases and potential impacts.
Coordinate enhancements to streamline functionality, drive improved user experience, and enable employee and manager self-service.
Participate in change management and go live support; help create or maintain end-user training and job aids.
Utilize project management skills to define, drive and meet project milestones. Proactively communicate issues, risks, and proposed solutions in a timely manner.
Partner with the Payroll provider on payroll processing through EIB uploads for merit, bonuses, commissions, and bi-weekly manual processing. Bi-weekly, engage with employees and managers on timecard completeness and approvals to ensure pay accuracy.
Provide bi-weekly pay data and approve payroll audits. In Workday, collaborate with Finance on general ledger balancing.
Partner with the Payroll provider on state tax, unemployment registrations, and third-party access, enabling required quarterly fillings.
Support annual and quarterly required compliance reporting to various benefit and payroll agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCAITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
4 years experience designing and implementing, HRIS reporting systems required
3 years of experience with Workday required
Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals
Proven success and experience with complex, enterprise-wide projects. Have designed, planned, and implemented enterprise-ready data visualization/dashboards at scale for internal and audiences
