    Job Description

    Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay is currently hiring a HRIS Administrator.

    Our Full-Time employees are eligible for Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits on the FIRST day of employment!

    What will I do?

    The Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Administrator will support and maintain the WCCBs HRIS applications and modules including UKG, Relias LMS, recognition software, ATS and other cloud systems in Human Resources.

    • Oversees and maintains optimal function of the HRIS (UKG), which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules.
    • Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.
    • Collaborates with leadership and HR team to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.
    • Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users.
    • Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
    • Compiles or assists with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff to include HR dashboards and Payroll Based Journaling.
    • Serves as lead representative and liaison between HR, information services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.
    • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
    • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.
    • Performs other duties as required.


    Skills/Experience Required:


    Technical Proficiency/System Administration Skills:
    Comfortable working with various HRIS software and systems. Strong understanding of HRIS functionality, database management, data analytics, and reporting. Familiarity with programming languages and database querying. Experience managing user access security settings and permissions. Configuring system modules and workflows, ensuring that the HRIS system is optimized to support HRIS processes.

    HR Knowledge Skills: A solid understanding of human resources principles and practices is crucial. Familiar with HR processes, such as employee onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, performance management, and compliance.


    Data Management Skills:
    Effective data management skills are essential. Proficiency in data entry, data validation, data integrity, and data security. Strong attention to detail is critical for maintaining accurate and reliable HR data.


    Problem-Solving Skills:
    Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and find appropriate solutions to various challenges and issues related to system functionality, data discrepancies, and user support.

    Communication Skills/User Support and Training: Excellent communication skills are necessary to interact with stakeholders, including HR teams, IT professionals, and end-users. Ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner. Troubleshoot system issues, answer queries and provide training on system functionalities.


    Project Management/System Upgrades & Enhancements Skills
    : Perform system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements. Strong project management skills to plan, coordinate, and execute HRIS projects within designated timelines and budgets. Test new system features, resolve issues, and ensure a smooth transition. Coordinate user training and provide support during the implementation process.


    Reporting & Analytical Skills:
    Strong analytical skills to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvements and strategic decision-making.Responsible for analyzing HR data to generate reports, metrics, and insights. Experience creating custom reports and dashboards utilizing reporting tools, data visualization software, and Excel spreadsheets.


    Adaptability Skills:
    HRIS Administrator will work in a dynamic environment where technologies and HR practices evolve. Must be adaptable to allow quick learning of new systems, embrace changes, and keep up with industry trends.


    Confidentiality/Ethics and Compliance/Data Security::
    HRIS Administrator will handle sensitive employee data and adhere to strict confidentiality and privacy guidelines. Upholding ethical standards and maintaining data security and privacy are crucial aspects of the role. HRIS Administrator will ensure compliance, implement security protocols, manage access controls, and regularly conduct data audits to identify and address potential risks.


    General: Must be able to meet deadlines, work on-site, must be able to handle a fast-paced environment.
