Position SummaryThe Human Resources Specialist handles and provides support for various HR employee programs within the organization.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesHandles employment application intake through the ATS / Onboarding software.Performs initial phone or in person interview and refers applications to the proper supervisor.
Schedule all applicants for interview and / or orientation.Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
Conducts on site new employees orientation.Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.Explains the benefit package to all new hires.
Maintain on-site employment records related to hiring, termination, leaves, and transfers in the CoreHR software.Adhere to all company safety / OSHA rules and regulations.
The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.QualificationsMinimum of 3 years’ experience in Human Resources is required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel. Must be fluent in Spanish. Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding employment practices.
Excellent oral / written communication skills.Physical DemandsAbility to travel occasionally is required. Should be flexible to work a variable work schedule.
Confidentiality in all aspects of Human Resources and company information required. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and work directly on a computer in a high pressure environment.
