HR Generalist
Job Summary :
The HR Generalist administers the daily employee concerns / matters in the following functional areas : Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), leaves of absence including ADA and FMLA, terminations, and unemployment.
Prior experience working with multiple state locations and the ability to work closely with remote offices to ensure program compliance and employee satisfaction is preferred.

Essential Job Functions :
- Partners with Management staff to schedule interviews, participate in interviews, and gather pre-employment documents.
- Providing support to residential employees in regards to policies, benefits, and general questions.
- Preparing or updating employee records related to hiring, transferring, promoting and terminating.
- Update and create job descriptions as needed.
- Responsible for the tracking of residential staff licensure as well as any annual training and testing requirements.
- Works with Management to ensure annual reviews are completed and any merit increases are processed timely through ExponentHR.
- Cover all legal compliance for human resource federal and state requirements.
- Help maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data.
- Address complaints or questions regarding payroll, employee files, tax information, etc.
- Responsible for reporting any workers compensation claims and maintaining OSHA logs
- Advise supervisors on policies such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment.
- Maintains professional boundaries with clients and interacts with them in an appropriate manner.
- Support the CEO with administrative reports
- Create and maintain with the support of the CEO employee engagement initiatives
- Works with the CEO on the creation and implementation of a Human Resources Strategy for the facility.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate Professional in Human Resources certification or higher preferred
- Minimum 2-year professional HR experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organization and critical thinking skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of local, state and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suites, EHR, payroll system, etc.
- Strong ethics and conflict management skills.
- Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines.
- Satisfactory references from employers and / or professional peers.
- Satisfactory criminal background check.
- Satisfactory drug screen.
