Terms of Employment: 12 months
Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm; Monday through Friday
Education: High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years of related experience in human resources.
Qualifications: Excellent customer service skills, human relations skills, organizational skills, collaboration skills, communication skills, computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Google, Adobe), knowledge of hiring processes and records management.
Job Summary: Provide a wide variety of technical and administrative support for the human resources office; on-boarding of new employees, ensuring confidential compliance of department/program activities with financial, legal and administrative requirements; and to provide the information to the public, and school staff members, addressing issues and/or providing general support.
Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

Collaborate with administrators, directors, principals, administrative assistants, secretaries on various matters

Manage employee recognition program eligibility

Work with external colleges/universities regarding student teachers

Manage substitute teacher staff
-
Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.

Compile reports as needed.

Respond to written and verbal inquiries from district employees and applicants (e.g. policies, procedures, payroll, benefits, forms, etc.) to provide information, solve problems, and facilitate communication among parties.

Maintain district’s Absence Management (absence tracking / substitute teacher) program:

Ensure accurate and proper records
-
Set up all user profiles
-
Train and assist secretaries, teachers and substitutes in navigating the program

Provides reports to management as required
-
District administrative support for program
-
Assist with coordinating interviews as needed
-
Assist with on-boarding and off-boarding of employees
-
Collects, tracks, and provides notices related to FMLA leaves and according to US Department of Labor requirements.

Prepare agenda items for school board meetings on all new certified positions, resignations, and leave of absence.

Complete verification of employment requests

Schedule and coordinate arrangements for a variety of meetings.

Create and update departmental forms.

Submit background checks.

Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Director processing correspondence, reports, and notices as directed.

Complete other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Director.
Work Environment and Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk and stand. Lift sixty (60) lbs. occasionally, with the ability to reach, stand, walk, carry, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit, and/or crawl. The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely. Maintain mental capacity, allowing for effective interaction and communication with others. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness. Prolonged periods of sitting. Occasional travel for recruitment or training purposes.
